Finally, my second entry... =)

Today's home made dinner:

Gnocchi with Mushroom sauce
Ingredients:

  • "Home made Gnocchi" from

  • Shitaki mushroom

  • Baby arugala

  • Shallots

  • Chicken broth

  • Butter

  • Garlic

  • Some heavy cream

  • Salt & Pepper

  • White truffle oil (for some fancy effect.)

[After I list out the ingredents, I just realized that this dish can be 100% veggitarian if I just subsitute the chicken broth with veggitable broth! Mehal, hope you like Gnocchi! ;) ]

Recipe was taken from here with some modifications.

The result was quite pleasant. Craig ate his 1.5 portion share of food. =)

Pan Fired Halibut Filet.(No Picture, Sorry) The way I cooked the fish was fairly simple. Season with salt and peper, and pan fire both sides until brown bits appear at the bottom of the pan. Then stick the firing pan in 425 degree oven until the fish is throughly cooked. Usually there should be some sort of sauce to go with the fish, but I figured that Gnocchi sauce can make up for it.

BOKA - First Entry!

It's Saturday night and Craig&I were thinking about going somewhere we've never been to get dinner. We decided just to walk around - starting in Belltown. We walked pass Belltown, through Pike Place Market - ended up at the outer edge of downtown Seattle. BOKA sounded pretty good to us at that time.

We sat down, looked over the menue and decided to order some bar food since neither of us was very hungry at that time. Food we ordered:
Pear Bruschetta with Balsamic Vinigar
Five Spice Pork Belly
Ceasar Salad (Craig's Favourite!)

We both enjoyed the food very much! Craig didn't like the Oyster Sauce on the Five Spice Pork - but I didn't think that was a very big deal. :) We didn't order any fancy cocktail or classy wine - so the bill came out to be pretty reasonable - ~$38 with tax and tip.

I want to organize a happy hour with some friends at this place sometimes - after 10pm Monday - Friday, all bar foods are half off. (Great deal.)
